Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication information via Google OAuth or email/password.

We collect usage data including which tools you use, how many credits you spend, and the URLs you submit for analysis.

We do NOT store the content of your submitted URLs, transcripts, or AI-generated outputs. These are processed in memory and discarded immediately after delivery.

If you subscribe to Pro, we store a Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription. We do not store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.

We use your email to authenticate you and send important account communications.

We use usage data to enforce credit limits, show you your usage statistics, and improve our service.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

Supabase — for authentication and database storage. GDPR compliant.

Stripe — for payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Groq — for AI processing. Content is processed but not stored by Groq.

RapidAPI — for YouTube transcript fetching. No personal data is shared.

Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. All associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Usage logs are retained for 90 days for security and billing purposes, then deleted.

You have the right to access, correct, and delete the data we hold about you.

You can export your data or request deletion by contacting privacy@distill.ai.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR and UK GDPR.

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
